Welcome as a motorhome in Mariager Sejlklub
Mariager harbor is in an area with beautiful nature, and with minutes to the town square by foot. In the summer season, when the boats are in the water, we have 7 campsites available. 5 to the left of the entrance, and 2 further down towards the clubhouse. Payment Facilities |
Sights One of the best things about Mariager is the nature surrounding the city. A walk through the old town with cobblestones, roses and crooked half-timbered houses is a "must", and if the weather is right, you can get an ice cream in the square by the old town hall. If you continue from the main square on Fuglesangsgade and Havndalsvej, you will arrive at the 3500-year-old Hohøj. |
Hohøj, has views of the entire surrounding area. |
On the way, you could pass by the Munkholm area, where Ivan Evigvår has gotten his new home, with a view of the old monastery.

Mariager Kloster was founded in 1446 by the Birgittinerordenen, a well-regarded monastic order that was very popular in the Middle Ages among the nobility in Northern Europe. |
Saltcenter The Saltcenter at the harbor is worth a visit. Just by the harbor is the salt center. Here you can climb down into a saltmine, and if you bring a set of spare clothes, you can experience water like ‘The Dead Sea’. |
Triangle trip At the harbor/Salt center you can get on the veteran train, where you can e.g. drive to Handest and take the bus to Hobro. From there you can sail with the tour boat "Svanen" back to Mariager. |
Infoboard On the side of the clubhouse you’ll find a big info board, with a map of Mariager, and further information about the town sights, shops etc. There are also small leaflets that you can take with you. |
